It's Totally Healthy to Be Obsessed with True Crime Podcasts and Websleuthing

There are so many taboo things in our society. But there are other things in society that we are allowed to do right now because it's POPULAR! What I'm referring to is SOLVING CRIMES! If you are like me you are reading hours on end about violent crimes, listening to crime stories and obsessing about them, and then trying to solve them until 2am and then going to bed right after leading to terrifying night tremors.

There's nothing wrong with this and don't let Psych Central tell you any different or some other study or NPR story. Anyone who says it's unhealthy just doesn't want you to solve a cold case that will make you very notable and famous someday.

In fact, if you are solving a crime in Scotland right now that means you are NOT committing a crime or out drinking and driving or causing harm to society! WE are NOT CRIMINALS! No way sir! You and I? We are just a crime solving citizens looking up different weapons on google and reading a reddit that supposedly Casey Anthony herself AMA'd. We are making a difference by making sure that we are up to date so that in case someone in your town happens to stop you on bridge you know exactly what to do and will be able to identify and call the police immediately.

In fact we have studied these cases so much that we have built a safety room in our house, a tool box of defense weapons that sits in the car, and first thing Monday we will map out all dead zones where cell phones do not work in town and let the local sheriff know about it.

Crime solving is no longer for the police, detectives, or God. It's up to the citizens now. And there's no time for making dinner for the kids, doing laundry, going to work, or getting dressed when the law needs us.

So the next time a friend suggests you might have an unhealthy obsession, remind them how close you are to solving the case and remind them that you have an official profile on Websleuths to prove it.
